FRSC cautions motorists on speeding during yuletide    FRSC cautions motorists on speeding during yuletide    Advice By Clara Egbogota Asaba, Dec. 11, 2024 (NAN) The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Delta Command, has advised motorists against excessive speeding during and after the yuletide celebration to minimise crashes. Mr Frederick Ogidan, the Sector Commander, gave the advice on Wednesday during a mega rally to sensitise drivers at the Agbogidi Park. Ogidan was represented by Mr Briggs Millah, Head of Administration and Human Resources, FRSC Asaba. According to him, motorists, especially drivers, need to understand proper road usage to save lives. He said, “Our aim is to save lives by reducing the level of crashes on the roads, because that is mostly felt during ember months”. The Director-General of NOA, Malam Lanre Issa-Onilu said this on Tuesday during a One Day Sensitisation Town Hall Meeting in Asaba. Issa-Onilu who was represented by Mrs Rebecca Nasamu, Director, General Services, National Headquarters Abuja said that there was need for the sensitisation campaign of the five critical issues as they are central to the nation’s well-being, unity, and development. The Director- General (D-G) of NYSC, Brig.-Gen. Yusha’u Ahmed, said this on Wednesday during a tour of NYSC orientation camp, Issele-uku, and a chat with Batch C stream 1 of the NYSC members in the camp. According to him, there may be minor differences between the people’s ways of life and the ones they are used to. “You have to learn to show understanding and adaptability as a way of justifying some of the reasons for the national service. “Do not to joke with the culture of the host community you are serving in; add value wherever you are posted to. “You should try and learn their culture and get acquainted with it.
