Gov. Oborevwori counsels corps members on discipline, patriotism

  By Clara Egbogota The Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has urged members of the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) to always uphold the values of discipline, patriotism and diligence. Adaji gave the charge on Friday in Asaba during a familiarisation visit to the state. According to him, the responsibility of moving the special marshal to greater heights rests on everyone. “We must, therefore, remain steadfast towards enhancing our operational capabilities in order to effectively secure and contribute meaningfully to national security and economic prosperity,” he stated.  FRSC tasks motorists in Delta with proper registration of number plates The Delta State Command of the Federal Road safety Corps (FRSC), on Monday urged motorists to ensure a proper registration of their plate numbers, so as to avoid penalties by law enforcement officers. The state’s Corps Commander and acting Head of Section (HOS) Operations Department, Christopher Kuje, made this known in Asaba, during Inauguration of a special patrol operation, tagged “Operation Guduma” The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the scheme is aimed at strengthening enforcement against traffic offences in the country The scheme also aims at checking practices such as mix-loading, as well as the movement of vehicles carrying unlatched containers capable of causing hazards on the highways. Sheriff Oborevwori  of  Delta says  his administration remains  committed to youth empowerment and support for young men and women in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)  serving in the state. Oborevwori said this on Tuesday at the Closing Ceremony of the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream 11 Orientation Course, held at the NYSC Orientation Camp, Issele-Uku. The governor  was represented at the ceremony by the Secretary to the State Governor (SSG) Mr Kingsley Emu.  New FRSC Sector Commander pledges to strengthen road safety operations in Delta   Advice By Clara Egbogota Asaba, April 14, 2026 (NAN) Mr Charles Edem, the new Sector Commander,  Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Delta Sector Command, said he would consolidate on existing achievements while strengthening road safety operations in the state.
