Asaba  Gov. Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta has urged Corps members to be commitment to service and remain humble in their host communities. The governor gave the advice at the opening ceremony of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Batch C stream 1 on Friday at the Orientation, camp Issele- Uku. Obi pledges to channel Niger Delta wealth to develop the region Asaba - The Nigeria  Democratic Congress (NDC), Presidential Candidate, Mr Peter Obi, has pledged to channel back the wealth generated from the Niger Delta to develop the region after decades of neglect. Obi made the pledge on Thursday while   inaugurating  the NDC Delta headquarters and the official opening of the party campaign office in Asaba. He said the region had continued to produce wealth shared across the country, stressing that its people should see the impact of the resources. “They are producing the wealth we share every month,” Obi said. Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta on Thursday,  directed State Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to evolve programmes that would ameliorate economic hardship in the state. The State Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads) and Public Information, Mr Charles Aniagwu, disclosed this at a news conference in Asaba.
