Gov. Oborevwori urged investors to invest in Delta  NAN Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has called on investors particularly Deltans at home and in the diaspora to take advantage of the state’s steadily improving socio-economic climate to invest in the State.  The Governor who made the call on Friday in Ubeji, Warri South Local Government Area, while inaugurating a multi-million-naira hospitality and tourism investment, the Swiss International Rancho Valerie Hotel, said; “the time to invest in Delta State is now.”   “Warri is rising again, Delta State is progressing steadily. He noted that other states agitations only began a few years ago, adding that Anioma state remained most viable and resourceful to serve the need and complement the gap in the South East Zone as the sixth state. Muhammed gave the advice on Saturday at the 2025 Special Marshal Sectoral Workshop with the theme: “Enhancing Security and Safety Strategies for Special Marshals Operations”. He was represented at the event in Asaba by Assistant Corps Marshal Edward Odiete. FRSC vows to strengthen regulation of driving schools

  The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Delta Command, has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring only qualified individuals are trained and licensed to drive through accredited driving schools in the state. Mrs Joyce Alexander made the remark Tuesday during a strategic meeting with driving school operators, aimed at discussing sector challenges and promoting road safety across Delta State. She assured operators that the FRSC would enforce compliance with its standards, recognising the crucial role driving schools played in shaping the next generation of safe drivers. Alexander said the command would identify and shut down unapproved driving schools while collaborating with stakeholders to monitor and regulate driving school operations effectively. She promised that she would escalate complaints to FRSC headquarters to ensure that unapproved institutions were closed and that accredited operators were supported in improving the quality of driver training. Niger Delta not denied access to PBT’s economic interventionist programmes — NDPA By Ifeanyi Olannye The Niger Delta Progressives Alliance (NDPA) on Friday, said that youths in the region were not denied access to President Bola Tinubu’s economic interventionist policies and programmes but for ignorance, and inadequate information. To curb the trend, the NDPA, a Non-Governmental Organisation, at the weekend in Asaba, commenced sensitisation exercise to educating the citizens on available opportunities, how and where to access such programmes and policies directly without paying to any third party.  Gov. Oborevwori’s aide eulogises late ex-NAN staff, Mr Pius Oganah Asaba, Oct. 31, 2025(NAN) Mr Olisa Ifeajika, the Executive Assistant to Delta  Gov. Sheriff Oborevwori on Public Enlightenment, Projects and Polices, on Friday showered encomiums on a former Staff of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Mr Pius Oganah. NAN reports that Late Mr Oganah worked as a computer technologist and had retired in 2015 after 35 years of meritorious service in the Agency, a journey he started on Nov. 4, 1980. Accordingly, Oganah, for his unwavering commitment to his duties earned a Long Service Award, as a recognition of his selfless and excellent contributions to the Agency and the society at large. Oganah, hailed from Illah, Oshimili North Local Government Area (LGA) of Delta, he died on Aug. 21, 2025, aged 71 and was interred on Friday, October 31, 2025 at his compound in Illah.
