Asaba, Nov.20, 2024 (NAN)Mr John Vandi T. Kwaghe has assumed duty as the new Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Delta State.


This is contained in a statement signed by Mrs Stella-maris Ogbummuo, NYSC state Information and Public Relations Officer, on Wednesday in Asaba.


The statement said that Kwaghe, who until his recent appointment was the Deputy Director in charge of Career Management at the NYSC National Directorate Headquarters Abuja.


Kwaghe who hails from Michika Local Government Area of Adamawa State, holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Maiduguri Borno State.


"Since joining the services of the scheme the new state coordinator worked in many states and the Corps headquarters in different capacities including Ekiti and Nasarawa States.


"Where he was at various times personal assistant to six state coordinators and Director Finance and Accounts, National Directorate Headquarters, Abuja.


"As the 16 State Coordinator and the 7 Male to Head the NYSC Scheme in the State.


“In line with the NYSC National Directorate Headquarters’ sustained drive to optimise the scheme’s operations nationwide, a new state coordinator has been posted to take over the headship of NYSC Delta State secretariat.


“He will take over from Mr Olusegun Alao who has been transferred to NYSC South South Area Office 1, Delta State,”Ogbummuo said. (NAN)(nannews.com.ng)
