Delta FRSC seek stakeholders  support to prevent injuries, deaths

Asaba, May 12, 2025 (NAN) The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) , Delta Sector Command has called for stronger stakeholders support, improved infrastructure and responsible driver behavior to prevent needless injuries and deaths.

The state Sector Commander, Corps Commander Fredrick Ogidan in a statement in Asaba on Monday called on all road users, local authorities and the media to join hands in making our roads safe for all , especially pedestrians and cyclists.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the FRSC will join the global community to commemorate the 8th United Nations Global Road Safety Week from 12th to 18th May.

The theme for this year’s observance is: “Streets for Life: #Make Walking Safe #MakeCycling Safe.”

According to him, this global campaign seeks to raise awareness and action for the safety of vulnerable road users particularly pedestrians and cyclists who form a major part of daily commuters across Delta State and Nigeria at large. (NAN)
